antique carved shell cameo and seed pearl 9ct gold brooch. The brooch is 48mm x 18.5mm across, one pearl is chipped but is secure in the setting and is barely visible with the naked eye anyway. The seed pearls are natural pearls.
The applied decoration is typical of the secessionist movement. The brooch dates from the late 1800's to the early 1900's.
